Frequently asked questions

Rowdee is a premium men's apparel brand built for guys who refuse to sleepwalk through life. We make sweat-proof, UPF 30+, four-way-stretch apparel in Boise, Idaho — built for cycling, hiking, and long days outdoors, and built so it doesn't announce any of that when the day moves indoors. The line runs from $35 tees to the $95 Shindig Shirt™ to the $185 MLT Jersey™, the patent-pending jersey-and-button-up hybrid.

Orders ship within 48 hours out of Boise, free over $99. Returns and exchanges are free for 60 days, because a shirt should have to earn its place before you commit to it. If the answers below don't cover it, write to support@rowdee.com. A person reads it, usually the same day.

Orders & Shipping

How much does shipping cost?

Rowdee ships free on all U.S. orders over $99+. Orders under $99 ship for a flat $7.

How fast will my order ship?

Rowdee orders ship within 48 hours of being placed, from Boise, Idaho. Standard U.S. delivery is typically 3–7 business days after that, with expedited (2–3 day) and overnight options available at checkout.

Orders placed on a weekend or holiday go out the next business day. You'll get a tracking number by email the moment the label prints.

Where does Rowdee ship from?

Rowdee ships from Boise, Idaho. Orders are picked, packed, and sent by Rowdee directly. There's no third-party warehouse in between.

Do you ship internationally?

Not yet. Rowdee currently ships within the United States only, including Alaska and Hawaii.

If you're outside the U.S. and want a shirt, email support@rowdee.com — we track where the requests come from, and it's how we'll decide which market to open first.

Which carriers do you use?

Rowdee ships via UPS, FedEx, and USPS, selected by destination and the shipping speed chosen at checkout. USPS is used for PO boxes and APO/FPO addresses.

My tracking says delivered but the package isn't here.

Email support@rowdee.com with your order number and Rowdee will sort it out. Carriers occasionally scan a package as delivered up to a day before it lands, so it's worth checking with neighbors and around the property first.

If it doesn't turn up, we'll make it right. We're a small company in Idaho, not a claims department.

Can I change or cancel my order?

Email support@rowdee.com immediately. Rowdee can change or cancel an order any time before it ships, which is usually within 48 hours. Once a label is printed, the order has to go through the returns process instead.

Returns & Exchanges

What is your return policy?

Rowdee offers free 60-day returns and exchanges on U.S. orders. Items must be unworn, unwashed, with tags attached and in original packaging. Return shipping label is sent from our team at Rowdee.

How do I start a return or exchange?

Start a Rowdee return or exchange here using your order number and the email on the order. The portal issues a prepaid label and, for exchanges, releases your new size right away.

Do I pay for return shipping?

No. Rowdee covers return shipping on all U.S. returns and exchanges within the 60-day window. The prepaid label comes from the returns portal.

How long does a refund take?

Rowdee refunds land back on your card within 5–7 days of your return being processed, to the original payment method.

Exchanges move faster. Your replacement size ships as soon as the carrier scans the return, so you're not waiting on the round trip.

Is anything excluded from returns?

Gift cards and anything marked final sale are not returnable. Everything else in the Rowdee catalog is covered by the free 60-day return and exchange policy.

Does Rowdee have a warranty?

Rowdee covers manufacturing defects for two years from the date of purchase. If a seam lets go, a snap pulls out, or the fabric separates, email support@rowdee.com with your order number and a photo and we'll replace it or refund it. No registration, no claim form.

Sizing & Fit

What size should I order?

Most men should order their normal shirt size. Rowdee shirts run true to size in a relaxed cut, with roughly an extra inch of back length so the hem stays put when you're leaned over a bike. A size medium relaxed fit measures 43″ in the chest and 29.25″ in back length.

If you're between sizes or carry broad shoulders, size up. The full measurement chart for both fits is on the size guide, and if you'd rather just ask a human, email support@rowdee.com with your height, weight, and usual size. We'll tell you straight.

Do Rowdee shirts run big or small?

Rowdee shirts run true to size. The relaxed fit is cut with room through the chest and shoulders without being baggy, and the slim fit takes about an inch out of the chest at every size.

The one thing that surprises people is the length. The back hem sits about an inch lower than a standard shirt. That's on purpose. It's the difference between a shirt that stays covered on the drops and one that rides up.

What sizes do you carry?

Most Rowdee apparel runs XS through 3XL. The exact range varies by style, so the sizes available for any given piece are listed on its product page. Hats are one size, adjustable.

If a size is greyed out on a product page, we're out of it in that colorway.

What's the difference between the relaxed and slim fits?

The relaxed fit is about 1″ wider in the chest at every size and runs XS–3XL; the slim fit is cut closer through the body and runs S–2XL. Back length, which is the measurement that matters most on a bike, is identical between the two.

Relaxed is the default and what most people want. Take the slim if you like a shirt that reads tailored off the bike and you're not layering anything under it.

I have broad shoulders and a smaller waist. Will it fit?

Yes. Rowdee shirts use a four-way mechanical stretch fabric specifically so athletic builds don't have to size up two just to clear their shoulders. If you're between sizes, take the larger one in the relaxed fit.

This is the single most common fit question we get, usually from cyclists and climbers. The stretch does the work that a size-up would otherwise have to.

Fabric & Care

What are Rowdee shirts made of?

Rowdee's performance apparel uses OEKO-TEX certified recycled fabrics with four-way mechanical stretch, and the graphic tees are organic cotton. Exact composition varies by product and is listed on each product page. The fabric gets chosen for what the garment has to do, so it isn't the same across the line.

The stretch is mechanical rather than elastane-driven, which is why the shirts hold their shape through repeated washes. OEKO-TEX certification means the fabric has been tested for harmful substances.

Is the fabric really sweat-proof?

Rowdee's Shindig fabric is moisture-blocking, which means sweat doesn't show as dark patches on the outside of the shirt. It wicks and dries fast rather than saturating, so a hot climb doesn't end with a visible back and pits.

To be clear about what that means: you'll still sweat. The shirt just won't say so. That's the whole point of wearing it to lunch afterward.

Do Rowdee shirts have sun protection?

Yes. Every Shindig Shirt™ and MLT Jersey™ carry a UPF 30+ rating, which blocks roughly 98% of UV radiation. The long sleeve gives full collar-to-cuff coverage, which is what you want for exposed alpine rides, desert miles, and long days on the water.

The protection is in the fabric construction, not a coating, so it doesn't wash out over the life of the shirt.

How do I wash it?

Machine wash Rowdee performance apparel cold and hang dry or tumble dry low. Skip fabric softener and dryer sheets - they coat performance fabric and cut its wicking. Care instructions for each specific garment are on its product page and its sewn-in label.

You can wash them with everything else. No special cycle, no hand-wash step, no ceremony. Fabric softener is the only real mistake to avoid.

Will it wrinkle in a pack?

No. Rowdee's performance fabric is anti-wrinkle, so a Shindig Shirt or MLT Jersey can be stuffed into a jersey pocket, hip pack, or suitcase and come out ready to wear after 10 minutes unpacked.

This is the reason a lot of people end up traveling in them. It packs to nothing and doesn't need a hotel iron.

Will it shrink?

Rowdee's performance shirts will not shrink when washed cold and dried on low.

The fabric is synthetic and dimensionally stable. The 100% organic cotton tees can shrink slightly on a hot dry, so wash those cold and hang dry if you want to keep the exact fit.

The Products

What is a Shindig Shirt?

The Shindig Shirt is Rowdee's snap-front performance button-up, made from sweat-proof, four-way-stretch fabric with UPF 50 sun protection. It's $95 in short sleeve and $110 in long sleeve, and it's built to be worn on a ride, a hike, or a river day and then straight into dinner.

BikeRumor called it "my new favorite thing to wear," which is roughly the review we were going for.

Is a Shindig Shirt a cycling jersey or a regular shirt?

Neither, exactly. The Shindig Shirt is a technical button-up: it has the fabric performance of activewear. Moisture-blocking, four-way stretch, UPF 50, quick-dry — in the shape of a normal snap-front shirt, with a hidden chest pocket and an extra inch of back length for riding.

It's the shirt for the ride and everything after. If you want dedicated rear storage and a compression layer, that's the MLT Jersey.

What is the MLT Jersey?

The MLT Jersey is a patent-pending cycling jersey and button-up shirt hybrid made by Rowdee, priced at $185. It looks like a resort shirt from the outside and works like a technical jersey underneath: a hidden compression jersey layer for storage, integrated side-seam magnets for pocket access, four-way stretch, and concealed ventilation.

As far as we know, it's the first garment built to be both at once. It came from a problem worth solving: you finish the ride, the day isn't over, and the only thing standing between you and the rest of it is what you're wearing.

How is the MLT Jersey different from a regular cycling jersey?

A regular cycling jersey is a close-fitting synthetic pullover with three open rear pockets, designed to be changed out of after a ride. The MLT Jersey puts that same storage and stretch inside a button-up shirt, so it performs on the bike and reads as normal clothing off it.

Practically: the compression layer fits like a vest and holds your gear against your back the way a jersey does, the side-seam magnets get you into it without dismounting, and the outer shell is antimicrobial and wrinkle-resistant so it survives the ride and the rest of the day. No changing, no lycra, no explaining yourself at the bar.

Can I wear Rowdee for things other than cycling?

Definitely. Most Rowdee customers do. The same properties that make a Shindig Shirt™ work on a bike (UPF 50, sweat-proof, quick-dry, four-way stretch, packs down small) make it work for hiking, fishing, rafting, golf, travel, and hot-weather work.

Customers have taken them on 13-mile backpacking trips and from a road ride straight into a Texas steakhouse. The shirt doesn't know what you're doing in it.

About Rowdee

What is Rowdee?

Rowdee is a premium men's apparel brand in Boise, Idaho, founded in 2023, making sweat-proof UPF 30+ performance clothing for cycling, hiking, and long days outdoors that doesn't read as technical gear. The core products are the Shindig Shirt ($95–$110), a snap-front performance button-up, and the MLT Jersey ($185), a patent-pending cycling-jersey-and-shirt hybrid.

Engineered for the adventure, and everything that makes it worth taking. Which in practice means: ride hard, then walk into dinner without changing.

Who is Rowdee for?

Rowdee makes gear for cyclists, hikers, trail runners, and outdoor hobbyists aka men who spend real time outside without doing it for a number. The brand's stated position is "for men who live the difference."

Not the difference between finishing first and finishing second. The difference between a day you lived and a day you let pass.

Who founded Rowdee?

Rowdee was founded in 2023 by Cody "Howee" Howard, a weekend cyclist in Boise, Idaho. The brand started from a specific problem: wanting a Hawaiian shirt that could actually perform on a ride. It took 18 months of fabric testing and factory sourcing before the first product shipped.

What does "Use Your Days" mean?

Use Your Days™ is Rowdee's tagline and the idea the brand is built on. It isn't a call to be productive. It's a reminder that time is finite, that the way you spend it is a choice, and that most men already know the difference between a day they lived and a day they let pass.

The climb you earned. The wrong turn that became the best part. The Saturday, miles out of service with your family. Rowdee makes gear for those days, and makes it well because gear you trust is one less excuse.

Where are Rowdee products made?

Rowdee works with partner factories around the world, including in the United States, Peru, and China, matched to what each product needs. Every Rowdee product is made in a sustainability and fair-trade certified factory.

Our manufacturing partner works with Worldly and holds Higg FEM and Higg FSLM (SLCP) certification, which assess environmental performance and social and labor conditions on an ongoing basis. Those are recurring assessments, not a badge you buy once. Production runs are deliberately small. We'd rather sell out than send inventory to a landfill.
